Hi All -
So sorry for the lack of posts lately; life has been pretty crazy, and unfortunately there hasn't been much baking going on :(
I did have a chance this weekend to make some cupcakes for a friend's 25th birthday party. She loves Hello Kitty :) My initial ideas all used fondant; but her party was held at a Buddhist Cultural Center that is vegetarian only. So I had to get creative!
I have seen many tutorials on how to decorate cookies using the royal icing flooding technique - so I decided to try my hand at making some Hello Kitty faces using the same technique. I was a bit worried at first that the faces would be too fragile to handle; fortunately I was wrong, and everything held up beautifully.
